Who We Are
Meet the Minds Behind Lobo Land
Colby Williford has over 35 years of petroleum land management experience. This includes field and in-house positions in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Colorado, and Wyoming. He began his career in 1985 as a field landman working for small to medium sized companies and transitioned to in-house land work providing acquisition & divestiture due diligence, land management and contract negotiation.
Prior to Lobo, Colby served as Senior Vice President of Land and Marketing for Rosehill Resources, Inc. (and formerly Tema Oil and Gas) in the Delaware Basin in West Texas and Southeast New Mexico. Prior to Rosehill, he worked for Momentum Oil & Gas, LLC. Prior to Momentum, he served in executive land and business development roles at America Capital Energy Corporation and Centurion Exploration Company. While at American Capital and Centurion, he was primarily engaged in acquisition and exploration efforts in the Texas, Gulf Coast and South Louisiana regions.
Colby graduated from the University of Houston—Downtown where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business. Colby and his wife, Jamie have been married for over 30 years. They live in Houston, Texas and have two adult children.
Bill Justice started as a field landman in the mid-1990s performing all aspects of field work. In 2004 he founded TotaLand Technologies, an online SaaS land application which combines data, document generation and GIS to facilitate day-to-day tasks of field land work. He served as President of TotaLand for 11 years until beginning land and data consulting in 2015.
With his background in Land-related data and technology in general, he works a great deal with manipulating data and streamlining processes, particularly in relation to due diligence projects, complementing his work as a senior Land consultant.
Bill is currently a partner of Lobo Land Consultants in Lafayette, along with Colby Williford in Houston. Lobo Land is a full-service firm, typically filling the VP of Land role for small operators, and therefore providing for all land-related needs. He has been active with landman associations both at the local and national level. Bill and his wife live in Youngsville, Louisiana and have 5 children and 6 grandchildren.
